ID# A1865205 – Ella, is a 3 year old, Brindle, American Pit Bull Terrier mix. Ella is a dream! She is great on leash, loves everyone, gives excellent kisses, is housetrained and is a great walking/hiking partner. Ella would be a wonderful family pet, she is the perfect size and is mellow, with an easy going demeanor. If you would like to meet Ella to see if she can fit into your life, stop by the eastside shelter for an introduction. 

ID# A1556132 – Misty is a 14 year old, Black, Domestic Shorthair mix. Misty loves company, conversation, good brushing and the occasional belly rub. She gets along well with other cats too. Misty is a senior girl with an open social calendar and she would sure love to visit with you. If you are up for that visit, stop by the Eastside shelter to meet Misty.


To view and/or adopt pets, simply arrive at either of the open location. We are not able to move a pet from one location to another for your viewing. Anyone wanting to adopt a pet visit our website at www.cabq.gov/pets to see available pets.

At all three locations, Eastside Shelter, Westside Shelter and Lucky Paws inside Coronado Mall will be having the I Promise My Forever Love Valentine Adoption event February 14th thru February 19th. Tuesday thru Saturday, hours will be 10:30am – 6:00pm, Sunday 12:00pm – 6:00pm. After the adoption event Lucky Paws will remain open Friday thru Tuesday, 11:30am – 7:30pm, Sundays 12:00pm – 6:00pm, closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Lucky Paws Adoption Center, Coronado Mall, 6600 Menaul NE, 87110

All adoptions will take place at AWD’s Eastside, Westside facilities and Lucky Paws inside Coronado mall. The Everyday Adoption Center inside Petsmart remain closed.
