The Edge Pet of The Week 6/13

ID# A1819398 – Krispin is a 7 year old, White, Domestic Shorthair mix. Krispin is a very loveable dude! He is a little shy when he first meets a new person but once he has leaned to trust he asks for attention and lots of pets. Are you ready for a summer of love with Krispin? If the answer is yes, he is available for you to meet at the Eastside shelter.

Betty Bear, is a 1 year old, Black, Rottweiler mix. Betty Bear came to the shelter with a fractured back leg. She is a delightful, sweet girl, with an affectionate and loving demeanor. Betty Bear is pretty good on leash, knows sit and is ready to learn more. If you would like to meet Betty Bear to see if she can fit into your life, she is currently at the Eastside shelter.

The City of Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department is offering to microchip dogs and cats for FREE. The offer is good to all Albuquerque residents. The free service will be available from June 1 through July 3, 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Westside and Eastside shelters. No appointment is needed. You must be at least 18 years old and have a valid ID to microchip your pets. The microchip will be registered to the ID holder. The information listed at the time of microchipping will be the guide to finding you if the animal is ever lost or recovered. It is essential to ensure that the details linked to your pet’s microchip remain up-to-date so the pet can be successfully identified.

To view and/or adopt pets, simply arrive at either of the open location. We are not able to move a pet from one location to another for your viewing. Anyone wanting to adopt a pet visit our website at www.cabq.gov/pets to see available pets.
