Kid Rock Running for Senate?

Well this is happening now...

Kid Rock is running for US Senate. That's right. After much speculation, and a White House visit back in April alongside Ted Nugent and Sarah Palin, Kid Rock has confirmed via Twitter that he is "absolutely" serious about becoming a Senator for Michigan.

Rock, whose birth name is Robert James Ritchie, first posted a link to his campaign website. He then promised "a major announcement in the near future." At this point, Kid Rock's site only offers merchandise and a way to sign up for email updates.

If Rock/Ritchie is serious about launching a senatorial campaign, he'll be going up against Democrat Debbie Stabenow, who has held the seat since 2000.
