Muse is officially entering a new era — and they're doing it in truly cosmic fashion. The band has announced their 10th studio album, The WOW! Signal, set for release on June 26th, and to mark the occasion, took things to another level — literally.
In partnership with Sent Into Space, the band launched a specially designed tablet 33 kilometers into the atmosphere to premiere the music video for their new single, "Be With You." A second launch sent stickers tied to a limited-edition vinyl release into the sky, creating a one-of-a-kind experience for fans.
The album marks Muse’s first full-length project since 2022’s Will of the People.
"Be With You" is a sweeping and dynamic lead single that sets the tone for the new album. The track opens with a haunting church organ and frontman Matt Bellamy’s powerful vocals before building into a blend of electronic textures and explosive rock instrumentation.
The accompanying music video, directed by Nico Paolillo, stars Ella Balinska and leans heavily into the band’s signature cinematic style. Set under a glowing red halo around the moon, the visual follows Balinska as she’s drawn into a mysterious force, ultimately encountering another individual experiencing the same phenomenon as they witness something both awe-inspiring and unsettling.
The album’s title, The WOW! Signal, is rooted in one of the most fascinating scientific mysteries of the 20th century — the Wow! signal. Discovered in 1977, the unexplained 72-second radio burst originated from the constellation Sagittarius and was so unusual that the astronomer who detected it famously wrote “WOW!” next to the data.
With The WOW! Signal arriving this summer, Muse are inviting fans to step into a universe where science, emotion and sound collide — and if the album’s launch is any indication, this era is already reaching new heights.
