Stuff To Do In Pittsburgh This Weekend!

Let’s get you aht this weekend! Here’s some things going on in Pittsburgh that you can check out.

I’m a big fan of Open Streets Pittsburgh and that’ll be happening in Hazelwood on Sunday from 10a-2pm. If you’ve never checked it out before, the roads close to vehicular traffic and get you walking, biking, scootering, dancing, skating, and running through the streets. Plus there’s tons of vendors and stuff for the kiddos to do:

We’ve got local bands performing of course, and one of our Hometown For The Holiday’s alumni have a show at our favorite caffeine refuel, Black Forge Coffee House in McKees Rocks.

Check out Shadow of Corvus, Arcane Haven, and Amavasya Saturday July 31st. Doors at 6pm, Show at 7pm.

Saturday will also bring you another Jam on Walnut series and this weekend it’ll be Dancing Queen from 7-11pm. If you wanna dance like no one’s watching, we won’t tell on ya. It helps fund programs for Animal Friends, so it’s another reason to dance it up guilt free.

And if Blues and Roots is up your alley, get ready for two days of it with Band Together Pittsburgh and the Autism Society of Pittsburgh. The Pittsburgh Blues and Roots Festival happens at the Pittsburgh Shriners Center on July 31st and August 1st with acts like Chet Vincent, Bill Toms & Hard Rain, Clinton Clegg’s “Mon Hound,” Soulful Femme, Billy Price Band, Jim Donovan & The Sun King Warriors, and Joanna Connor. Save some cash with an advanced pass and don’t forget to bring your own lawn chair!
