Mark Hoppus Writes Song About Dogs To Help Pets Affected By Harvey

blink-182 frontman Mark Hoppus is a big softie for man's best friend and contributed a new song, “Not Every Dog Goes to Heaven,” to the compilation Dog Songs, whose proceeds go to the ASPCA and all the pets affected by Hurricane Harvey.

The breakneck pop-punk anthem was inspired by Dinky from National Lampoon’s Vacationa sadistic pup who met his demise after the Griswolds' forget they tied him to their car bumper before leaving a rest stop.

The track was written by Hoppus, fellow blink bandmate Travis Barker, and Goldfinger's John Feldmann. Dog Songs features Allie Goertz, Casey Boyd, Nerf Herder and more. Check out the full compilation here.
