Jack White's documentary "American Epic" has been in the works for years and now, we've finally got our first look. The trailer for the three-part documentary features footage from the American landscape as well as appearances from Elton John, Nas, and White himself.
The doc, which is narrated by co-producer Robert Redford, focuses on the music and musicians recorded by talent scouts for major record companies in the 1920s. There's also a feature length film, "The American Epic Sessions," which shows modern day musicians recording the tracks on vintage 1920s equipment.
"American Epic" premieres May 16th on PBS. Check out the trailer to the right.
