ID# A1685064 – Martine, is a 7 year-old, Orange, Domestic Mediumhair mix. Lovely mini lion Martine is a very cheery fellow! He is always chirping and meowing for attention as well as during a visit. He loves company and is not bashful about letting you know. Martine enjoys being brushed and pet, and taking a stroll by your side. If this handsome boy caught your attention and you would like to meet him, visit him at the Eastside shelter.

ID# A1217107 – Elsa is a 7 year old, Brown, Australian Cattle Dog mix. Sweet Elsa is a small wonderful gal. She would make a super companion for anyone. She is mellow, easy going, and great on leash. She is super affectionate as well as beautiful. Elsa has walked parallel with other dogs so if you have a dog bring it in for a meet and greet to see if Elsa would fit with you family. She is currently at the Eastside shelter and would love to meet you.

AWD shelter locations will conduct animal viewing and adoptions through a first come, first serve basis. To view and/or adopt pets, simply arrive at either of the open location. This is in an effort for AWD to continue with its mission to save animal lives and also comply with social distancing recommendations. Anyone wanting to adopt a pet visit our website at www.cabq.gov/pets to see available pets.

Eastside Adoption Center, 8920 Lomas Blvd NE; 10:30 to 6, closed Monday and Wednesday is set aside for high risk individuals

Westside Adoption Center, 11800 Sunset Gardens SW; 10:30 to 6, closed Mondays

Everyday Adoption Center inside Petsmart, 350 Eubank Blvd NE; 10:30 to 6, closed Mondays

When it is your turn, you will be contacted and advised to enter. You will have no more than 45 minutes in which to meet a maximum of three pets and process the adoption paperwork.

All adoptions will take place at AWD’s Eastside and Westside facilities and The Everyday Adoption Center inside Petsmart. Lucky Paws inside Coronado mall remains closed.
