As promised, Post Malone held a special virtual Nirvana tribute on Friday, and impressed a lot of people.
The YouTube concert featured Blink 182’s Travis Barker on drums, and had Post, in a pink and green floral dress, performing 15 Nirvana songs, including almost all of the band’s classic album “Nevermind,” with the exception of “Polly” and “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” as well as the “In Utero” tracks “Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge on Seattle,” “Very Ape” and “Heart-Shaped Box,” and the “Bleach” songs “About a Girl” and “School.”
The concert raised $2.8 million for the United Nations Foundation’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund, and received praise from Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic and Kurt Cobain’s widow,Courtney Love.
